BIO
William Thomson, adjunct faculty with ACEP, has been engineering electrical power systems and equipment since 1975, with an emphasis on digital real time control system design. This has been mostly applied to renewable energy and facilitating its integration with traditional technology.
Thomson is a 1975 graduate of the University of British Columbia. He is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Canada and is registered as a professional electrical engineer in both 黑料社appand British Columbia. He has worked for Cominco, Ltd. (now Teck Resources, Ltd.), Thomson and Howe Energy Systems (THES), 黑料社appPower Systems (APS), Catalina Software (CS), Thomson Turbine Governors (TTG) and, for the last 22 years, Alaska Village Electric Cooperative (AVEC). He holds four patents.
