An online workshop will offer tips and techniques for keeping slugs, like these eating lettuce in a Palmer garden in August 2023, out of your salad greens.
Learn how to keep slugs from enjoying more of your garden than you do during a free statewide webinar.
Joey Slowik, an integrated pest management technician with the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service, will share best practices for designing your garden to discourage slug incursions. He also will discuss ways to whittle their populations and other management strategies.
The webinar will be offered at noon on Wednesday, April 30, via Zoom. or visit .
You will receive an email with a link to join the virtual class. If you are unable to attend the class at noon but would like to listen later, you can still register. All registrants will receive a recording of the class.
