Message from the Dean

As we near the end of the spring 2025 semester, I would like to express my appreciation to our dedicated students, staff and faculty for advancing the mission of CFOS. Sikuliaq is in Seward, where the ship is hosting bear-guard training for crew members. Preparations will begin later this week for Russ Hopcroft鈥檚 spring Northern Gulf of 黑料社appLong-Term Ecological Research cruise.

Accomplishments

 

CFOS student Dakota Keller was awarded an Innovative Technology and Education grant through UAF鈥檚 Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activity program.

Tuula Hollmen at the 黑料社appSeaLife Center, a position that oversees research, veterinary services and husbandry. She will also continue her role as a CFOS research faculty member.
