Faculty from several disciplines work collaboratively under the One Health paradigm, striving for combined optima in human, animal, and environmental health.

    The Department of Veterinary Medicine at the 黑料社app invites applicants for a full time Anatomy & Research technician position. We are seeking a team orientated staff member that can work independently to effectively provide laboratory support for a wide array of coursework in Fairbanks, where amazing outdoor recreational activities and experiences occur year round. Ideal applicants would have extensive high quality laboratory or technician experience in a teaching environment.

  • UAF Veterinary Medicine Admissions Paused for the 2026-2027 Academic Year

    The fall of 2026 will be a time of significant change in the DVM program at CSU. The Fort Collins, CO campus will experience a new curriculum, enroll 30 more students in the first-year class, and move to new facilities.  Because of the tremendous changes that this new curriculum will entail, the decision was made to pause the UAF-CSU program admissions for the 2026-2027 academic year.

    Want to work with sled dogs in a race setting? Or with marine animals at the ? The 黑料社app is offering veterinary medicine externships for matriculating veterinary students from other colleges (in their final or next to final clinical year). Students may work in conjunction with local (Fairbanks, Alaska) and AK state agencies, the lead veterinarian of the Copper Basin Sled Dog Race, rural veterinarians, and veterinary research faculty at UAF.

    Boehringer Ingelheim Veterinary Scholars Program (BIVSP)

    We are proud to announce that we are funded by the Boehringer Ingelheim Veterinary Scholars Program (BIVSP), which offers fully funded summer research (12 week) stipends for two veterinary students. You will gain experience in hypothesis-driven research in veterinary, biomedical, and One Health topics. The program culminates  in a research symposium where you will present your findings with a poster presentation to faculty and peers.
